This programme is open to the public and is founded on the premise that:

Parents are doing their best

There is no perfect parenting

Each parent is an expert on his/her own child
During the programme professional expertise will be offered as useful knowledge to add to the parental tool-kit
and not as advice imposed from an outsider.
This course will help parents to:

Establish their own style of parenting

Understand their children’s behaviour

Find alternative methods of discipline

Communicate better with children and spouse.

Take some of the stress out of parenting

Reflect on how they are relating to their children and caring for themselves

Experiment with new skills, which can be applied both within family and working relationships

Temperament and parenting style

Discipline and alternatives to punishment

What do we want for our children?
During this programme we also aim to help parents “see through their children’s eyes” and
explore the variety of factors that impact upon the way we perceive and carry out our roles as parents.
Time and Duration
These programmes are offered in approximately 5 to 8 sessions, at a time and place convenient
for the target group.
